I'm on the way back...

Tue Nov 7, 2006, 11:16 AM
Well, time for my first journal in a long time I suppose.

I should start by saying that I do have an account which I keep only for deviations now. This account I'd prefer only to keep a gallery seperate so I can see response to just images I post rather than the friendships I maintain online or whom I favorite.

I use deviant as source of inspiration to continue doing what I love, still, sometimes I can become addicted to it as it is pretty much the only place I can see a response to my artwork. I choose to leave the responses pure by trying not to comment or favorite with this account. Lets just call it an experiment, still I do thank all of you who comment and follow my work and I often visit your own galleries to to get a better picture of what you liked and why and to see your own efforts.

Finally, a number of months ago I was severly assaulted which has resulted in both loss of time from work and an inability to be as productive as I once was. My balance is very poor, my vision is bad, my right side is very numb accross my right side. It makes it hard to type, to see, to focus, and generally has changed the way I do almost everything. So using this space is one way I try to keep positive. I just thought it may help to know something about me while looking at my galler(ies).

These are the other accounts I maintain:
-sveltetwo (just for deviations)
-etlevs (an account I maintain for event stuff)
-vpk (my son's account)

It was a random attack by a group of men. I experienced amnesia for the event and about two weeks after so I only know what the police said. I must have been going to the store across the street from where I live, probably for smokes. Police think it was a gang thing. I'm not sure why they attacked me. Luckily I don't remember anything, I just woke up (slowly) in the hospital from a coma. I don't have to relive the attack through memory. Unfortunately I was kicked in the head a number of times (so say the witnesse(s)) so I have experienced some vestibular damage which means my balance and vision is affected.
